Student Gallery Camp 2010

Camp 2010 Photos taken by

Jayleen Beedle
Jayleen Beedle, 17, has been a student at the Sitka Fine Arts Camp for several years. She is an award-winning photographer who has already begun work professionally with her wildlife photography of Southeast Alaska.

Susan Bein
Susan Bein taught digital photography this summer at the camp. She is a photographer, graphic designer and teacher who currently lives in Portland, Oregon. We were fortunate that when Susan wasn't teaching she enjoyed using her spare time to photograph the camp. In addition to taking pictures of the students, Susan captured many images of our outstanding teaching faculty in action.

Lee Draper (Elementary Session)
Lee Draper is the mother of a student at this year's Camp. She volunteered to take pictures for a couple days.

Berret Wilbur
Berett Wilber, 18, started attending Sitka Fine Arts Camp in the sixth grade. She has taken photography classes all six years that she attended camp. She graduated this year from Sitka High, and had a great time acting as a photo intern at camp. She currently attends Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania where she is continuing her studies in art.

Installation Art Photos taught by Megan Lindeman
In this class students learned to incorporate the space around them into their art projects. Works made in this class were "site specific" and temporary. Students used painting, drawing, collage, found objects, and fabric to make work that doesn't rely on a frame as a container.
