Sitka Fine Arts Camp is a national leader in arts education. Located at the edge of the Tongass National Forest on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Sitka is one of the most beautiful communities in the world.
We are a mission driven organization with a passion for transformative experiences through the arts. Working at the Sitka Fine Arts Camp is more than a job. Working at SFAC is about making a difference, both in the lives of young people and in the community. |
Current Volunteer Positions
Volunteers have a critical role in our organization. We are well known for leading one of the largest grassroots volunteer efforts in Alaska - revitalizing the former Sheldon Jackson Campus, now home to the Sitka Fine Arts Camp. From 2011 to 2016, over 1000 volunteers contributed 40,000 hours of their time to restore the campus. Every year volunteers are an important part of our organization donating professional time and expertise or helping with more basic but still essential roles such as ushering shows, gardening, or painting. If you are interested in volunteering for our organization please call our Executive Director, Roger Schmidt at 907-747-3085.
