Bentwood Box Class (In Metlakatla)

Cost: $185/student
Students will learn how to make a traditional bentwood box out of red cedar that will be made without glue or nails only traditional pegs and skill. Boxes are eight inches with lids. Materials and tools will be provided. If students have their own carving tools, they are welcome to bring them.
This program is a partnership between Shee Atiká, Sitka History Museum, The CIRI Foundation, Alaska State Council on the Arts and the Sitka Fine Arts Camp.
